With experience dating back to the 1970s, OTC Services, Inc. holds it’s position as the industry standard for the remanufacturing and repair of dry-type and liquid-filled transformers for both industrial and utility clients. Now, with the OTC integration into the SGB-SMIT Group, we now bring over 100 years of design and manufacturing experience to the transformer market.

We are ideally located in Northern Ohio and provide dedicated rail access, large truck delivery and a 100-ton overhead crane. Our location, accessibility  and state-of-the-art facilities streamline the process and provide you the most efficient service and aggressive lead times in the industry.

Willem Smit & Co's Transformer Factory Ltd. established as an independent company in Nijmegen.

OHIO TRANSFORMER FOUNDED

Founded in 1946 to supply transformers to a U.S. government magnesium reduction plant.

FIRST 150 KV TRANSFORMERS

First 150 kV transformers produced

OHIO TRANSFORMER RELOCATES

Ohio Transformer relocates to Canton, Ohio and expands product line.

DECEMBER 7, 1985

HIGH-BAY EXPANSION

Expansion gave expanded capacity with 100-ton overhead crane with a 37 foot hook height.

SEPTEMBER 14, 2007

FACILITY REOPENS

Operation restarted and prior management recruited to run operations.
